Named after the Saints Pantaleone and Valentino
Chiesa di San Pantaleone
The square of the church of Courmayeur has always been the beating heart of the village
Arts, Museums and Cinema, Sports and Leisure ›
It is overlooking the ski slopes of Chécrouit and the village of Dolonne, and in the shadow of the imposing Mont Chétif

It is a religious building whose first historical sources date back to 1227, which evolved over the centuries until its consecration in 1742 and is characterised by a recently restored soaring bell tower which fits into the typology of “clochers porches” (porch bell tower) built between the eleventh and thirteenth centuries. A curiosity: inside the church Saint Gianna Beretta Molla is commemorated, a mother, “clear and graceful”, who loved Courmayeur and its mountains very much, remembered on April 28th.

The summer patron saint of the village is instead celebrated every year on July 27th with an unmissable traditional festival full of events, flavours and music, which ends with a “street party” that should be experienced.
