Pré-Saint-Didier is located in the centre of the Valdigne, at the foot of Monte Crammont and the Orrido di Verney, a waterfall enclosed by rocky and vertical walls. The hot water sources in the area were already known in Roman times.

It is likely that not far from the current spa centre there was a building erected by the ancient civilization, to take advantage of the particularities of the springs. .

The construction of the first modern spa facility dates back to 1830, giving the town a new prestige thanks to the construction of a small casino.

In 1976, the spa closed to reopen in 2005, after a thorough renovation and embracing the current philosophy of the wellness centre, becoming one of the main drivers of the Aosta Valley economy. Pré-Saint-Didier is also an international destination for lovers of canoeing and rafting.
