Once upon a time there was La Clotze, a hidden pearl in the woods of one of the most enchanting valleys of Mont Blanc. Inaugurated in 1972 by Elso and Clara Domaine with their children Massimo and Marina, it immediately became one of the most renowned restaurants in Courmayeur. A success that lasted for over 30 years, thanks to Clara’s creativity in the kitchen and Elso’s warm welcome. Today, after several management changes and years of closure, the restaurant has finally reopened, run by the historic family.

Marina’s children, Tommaso and Giovanni Rabbia, have undertaken the ambitious challenge of restoring La Clotze to its former glory. Putting the knowledge handed down by their grandparents into practice, they re-propose the idea of traditional cuisine but revisited in a modern way, favoring the use of local and genuine products. All dishes are strictly homemade: with passion, love and that pinch of magic that brings to mind Clara’s creativity.
