f it is true that food expresses the cultural identity of a country, the magnificent taverns along the road leading to the Mont Blanc Valleys certainly deserve a stop. The Trattoria di Campagna is one of these: a large, bright and welcoming venue (5 minutes from the Aosta Ovest/Saint-Pierre motorway tollbooth) which over the years has renewed its dishes and its space thanks to the passion, work and intuition of the Cortese Family.

The menu varies according to the season with some tasty recipes from beyond the Alps; among the specialties the historic polenta, prepared according to a recipe that has been handed down from generation to generation. The premises of the new winery, designed by Beatrice Cortese, an expert sommelier from the Aosta Valley, which we recommend visiting, are intimate, reserved and refined.
