Skyway Monte Bianco is an engineering and design marvel

How to move in the world, where to go to grasp the beauty that feeds our imagination, that spark of infinity that can become the engine and energy of our daily choices? Google Maps in these cases is not enough to indicate times and ways, it is better to take the path to the sky, where there are no roads, or all of them become possible.
Skyway Monte Bianco is not just a cable car, it is an idea that becomes a concrete opportunity: bringing man closer to the mountains and the sky, broadening horizons and overcoming borders. It is a technological marvel of Italian engineering, inaugurated in June 2015, which offers an unforgettable travel experience, capable of involving all the senses. The four transparent cabins are panoramic structures that gently rotate 360° throughout the climb, offering a unique view of the Giant of Europe and the surrounding peaks such as the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and Gran Paradiso, accompanying visitors to the last station at 3,466 metres in just 15 minutes.
The journey to the sky, in a crescendo of emotions, has three stages: Courmayeur (1,300 m), the starting point, the Pavillon du Mont Fréty (2,200 m) for an intermediate stop and Punta Helbronner (3,466 m). From here it is easy to reach the Torino Refuge, the start of mountaineering and off-piste routes, the 24 km of the Vallée Blanche, which lead to Chamonix and that of the Brenva glacier. But at Punta Helbronner you can also decide to stop and take the opportunity to visit the exhibition “Paul Helbronner and Mont Blanc – From sea level to 4810 metres” dedicated to the French mountaineer, geodesist and engineer, famous for having first published the whole geodesic description of the French Alps in 12 enormous volumes containing the results of his labours.
Before getting back on the Skyway and returning to Courmayeur, you can treat yourself to a refreshment break at the panoramic Bistrot, with quick dishes and a traditional Aosta Valley menu. You can do even more: transform that convivial moment into a special experience by booking, also on the Skyway website, a table with a breathtaking view, right in front of a window overlooking the Mont Blanc range.
The table has been set up by Kartell, one of the most influential Italian design firms of our times, confirming that the highways of the sky can give encounters, emotions and experiences that multiply beauty until it becomes sublime.
